Antboy could well end up being one of the sleeper highlights of the 27th Leeds International Film Festival. The trailer has both humour and action, as well as a clear passion for both comic books and superhero films from director Ask Hasselbalch. Perhaps best of all, none of the child actors manage to irritate at all throughout, so hopefully that will successfully transfer over to the whole movie. One I’m definitely looking forward to catching when I head to Leeds later this month.
The 27th Leeds International Film Festival (LIFF) takes place from the 6th-21st November at cinemas around the city, including Hyde Park Picture House and Leeds Town Hall. Tickets and more information are available via the official LIFF website.
