It's tempting to pick another horror film for Trailer Of The Week's BIFF tip number two. The festival, which started on Thursday, has a shower of rather fine looking genre offerings (The Inkeepers has been near the top of my list for quite some time), but, for non-genre lovers, it is difficult to ignore the two main talents involved in Free Men. Interested observers can go in to the film safe in the knowledge that the seasoned brilliance of Michael Lonsdale will be there to pull them along but can also look on with curiosity to see how A Prophet's Tahar Rahim fares in one of the first films he made post-Jacques Audiard's crime opus. The trailer is not well cut but displays more than enough promise to warrant a ticket purchase.
Trailer Of The Week is a regular Film Intel feature which picks a different tasty trailer of delectable goodness every week and presents it on Sunday for your viewing pleasure. Sometimes old, sometimes new, sometimes major, sometimes independent, sometimes brilliant, sometimes a load of old bobbins: always guaranteed to entertain.
