Whilst Crazy, Stupid, Love. may have dented my faith in the ability of Steve Carell to pretty consistently churn out schlubby-but-lovable rom-com, indie-dramas, Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World's trailer goes some way to restoring that faith. Looking somewhat like Armageddon with more pathos, Garden State with more world destruction or Take Shelter with a sense of humour, Lorene Scafaria's film has the best trailer of the last few weeks, a significant accolade, seeing as the last few weeks have been choc-full of outstanding, big name previews. There's serious potential that it might deliver on the promise it displayed when it appeared on the Film Intel 2012 preview. Scarfaria's film starts its release cycle in June.
