Wild Bill has seen some very positive festival coverage over the last few months and, ahead of its main release at the end of March, we were treated to its first trailer at the start of this week. Perhaps the most recognisable name on the cast and crew list is Dexter Fletcher, for whom this is a directing debut. Fletcher featured in Guy Ritchie's Lock Stock And Two Smoking Barrels and also showed up in Matthew Vaughn's Layer Cake, so perhaps it's not surprising that this is being marketed as a London-gangster flick, albeit one with an accentuated feeling of realism. The reviews certainly seem to accentuate the latter of these, suggesting that Fletcher might have a future in quiet English dramas on the cards.
