Trailer Of The Week - Week #41
Announced recently as the opening film for this year's Leeds Film Festival, Wuthering Heights has already produced substantial buzz and promising critical reaction from its festival outing at Venice earlier in the year. Directed by Fish Tank's Andrea Arnold, the trailer is almost completely without dialogue, instead choosing to focus on the abstract sounds of the moors (a must in any Brontë adaptation) and detached natural visuals. As such there's a heady feeling of Malick-ness about this, delicious to contemplate in a costume drama.
