It gives me no great pleasure to laugh at Brandon Routh. A good Superman in a film which, though not without problems, largely gets more stick than it deserves, he's failed to fulfil his promise as a leading actor over the last few years with bit part roles in middling-to-average productions. Taye Diggs too should have gone on to better things after Go but instead went on to, erm, Equilibrium and other such non-entities. Now the pair of them combine in Dylan Dog: Dead Of Night a film which has the dishonour of having one of the worst trailers I've seen in some time. Looking something akin to a rejected episode of Buffy, Dylan Dog has a plot which, erm, sounds like a rejected episode of Buffy. Its actually based on a comic book which might perhaps increase its chance of finding an audience come April, when it will be unleashed on unsuspecting US audiences. Enjoy. Or not, as the case may be.
