Trailer For Favreau's Cowboys & Aliens Hits.
Story: Screen Rant
Immediately becomes the most re-posted trailer ever*. Craps all over Green Lantern's parade.
*not a reliable figure.
Soderbergh To Take On/Ruin Film Intel Childhood Favourite, The Man From U.N.C.L.E.
Story: Empire
Some things are better left alone. I am afraid this rather cheesy spy series may well be one of them.
Initial Oscar List For Best Documentary Announced.
Story: /Film
19th November. Mark the date. First time the word 'snub' was used in this year's race.
And finally...
Spider-man's debut on Broadway has been held up slightly by an actor injury but, nevertheless, the web-handed one will shortly be coming to the stage in the form of Julie Taymor's musical, Spider-man: Turn Off The Dark. Twitch has the full details (including photographs) of the totally bonkers project.
That trailer for Cowboys doesn't next to nothing for me, but everyone else seems to be going gaga over it so we'll see. I'm not really a huge trailer supporter anyway to begin with.
ReplyDeleteMaybe the Exit Through the Gift Shop snub is because no one knows just what the hell that movie is: is it a doc? an art project? It needs a whole new category unto itself.
What's with Oscar talk so early? Like, calm down, everybody, see the damn movie first.
ReplyDeleteThey're taking C&A seriously, and that makes me smile.
Mike - I loved it I must admit although anything with Daniel Craig in right now would probably get me quite excited. Poor choice of picture to go with that article I admit; EXIT has been included - the 'snubs' are CATFISH and JOAN RIVERS: A PIECE OF WORK.
ReplyDeleteSimon - Completely agree. Its been going on for a few months too. As I think I said last year; some people seem to value the awards over the film themselves - I'll never be one of those people and I'll never understand it.
C&A as a whole just makes me smile - I think it looks great!
nice post. thanks.
