Out in US cinemas at the end of the month and out on DVD in the UK this week, Wild Target completed a dreadful double in its homeland by failing to excite critics and scoring a meagre return at the box office. With all the talent involved though and a trailer that suggests there is slapstick silliness by the bucket load, it's hard not to keep your fingers crossed for its success. Highlights include a lead trio of two smart young things (Emily Blunt and Rupert Grint) and a bankable veteran (Bill Nighy) whilst the villainy is perpetrated by the always welcome Rupert Everett and TV's Dr Watson, Martin Freeman. Enough British talent to make a successful hit then, or... not, as the case may be.
Trailer Of The Week is a regular Film Intel feature which picks a different tasty trailer of delectable goodness every week and presents it on Sunday for your viewing pleasure. Sometimes old, sometimes new, sometimes major, sometimes independent, sometimes brilliant, sometimes a load of old bobbins: always guaranteed to entertain.
